Mickey Mouse and swords
Long time no post. Sadly, I don't have time to write about my vacation or post the glut of pictures currently living in my camera. Long story short...Taiwan: good times. Thanks Nick! Mt. Fuji: a uniquely Japanese experience; at times exhilirating, at times borderline ridiculous. It definitely warrants elaboration in this space. When I have time.Tomorrow I'll meet Kyle and Nick in Tokyo to experience the Japanese take on Mickey Mouse at Disney Sea. Hopefully I'll have time for some pictures and ramblings when I return to Hakodate next week. For now, a couple of quick hits from the Tokyo National Museum. If you don't know why this is awesome, then you've probably never spent 40 hours controlling a Spiky-Haired Protagonist (and most likely a Quiet Healer and a Burly Sidekick) in a quest to save the world from some Unequivocally Evil Dude.

Hey Scott:
Have fun at Tokyo Disney Sea -- my brother and his wife helped create it. See if you can sense the Spirits Of Ballengers Past while you're there.
Or, just, y'know, have fun.
Cheers,
Ruth
ohohoho HO! The friggin' Masamune! I like how your description fits both games in which the masamune appears. Well done, sir.
Hi Ruth! Disney Sea was awesome. I especially dug the Jules Verne-inspired area. Very detailed and beautiful on a grand scale. What role did your brother and his wife play in its creation?
Tanner--I knew I could count on you to back me up on the awesomeness. Thank you sir. But does it really only appear in 2 games? Offhand I seem to remember it in FF VI and VII, and CT.
Firstly I find it rather hard to believe that it's that easy to find the Masamune. Most likely it is just a fake katana that you will then need to reforge in the Dragon's Tear.
Secondly I can nly hope you went on 20K leagues since that's the last bastion of that ride! By the time you get back here it wil be Finding Nemo the Ride. Sadly the Nemo is a small fish and not an insane captain.
Indeed, 20K Leagues and Journey to the Center of the Earth were both excellent. Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if your prediction comes true.
Good point about reforging the Masamune. That was only the blade; I still need to find the hilt and pommel gem.
DOH! I forgot FF6... Although to be fair the only protagonist in FF6 with spikey hair didn't wield blades... he just had his two mits.... man, I'm a nerd.
